Web Site Design for School Districts

Sevastopol School District

We did a complete redesign for the Sevastopol School District (www.sevastopol.k12.wi.us) so that School Elementary, High School and District Secretaries can maintain the site on their own. The school district's web site runs on a Content Management System (CMS) that was custom designed to make it extremely easy to post Newsletters, School Lunch Menus, Board Meeting Minutes & Agendas, and anything else that is relevant with regard to parents, students, faculty & staff, community members, as well as the athletic community.

A unique feature that was incorporated was the ability for parents to subscribe to the web site and register their email address and/or cell phone number. Whenever the School Administrator or Principal's wish to post an important notice, such as early dismissals, snow delays or cancellations, these important notices will be "pushed" to subscribers. Those that subscribe via email will get the entire message in their inbox; those that subscribe with their cell phone will get the first 160 characters of the message sent as an SMS text message.
